  • How to Research and Decide Where You’re Going Next!

Deciding where to travel next can be one of the most exciting yet challenging aspects of planning a trip. Over the years, I’ve used Instagram polls, considered life events, and even ticked off countries from my bucket list. But there’s more to it than just picking a place. It’s about timing, intention, and making sure the experience matches what you’re looking for. Let me walk you through how I research and narrow down my next travel destination.

The 7 wonder of how I learnt to research!

There are 7 points I go by; these main points have helped shape how I research and travel. In essence it’s the beginning of the trip before you know it. There are tips and tricks for booking trips; but the essence of every trip starts here. These Tips and Tricks will be mentioned in various blogs, because there is so much I can mention and the blog will be to long.

    The wonderous 3 recommendations!

On a final note; there are 3 lessons from my own travels have extremely benefitted me and even saved me money. To some people they may seem trivial, but nonetheless are powerful in themselves!

Advice & Tips from My Travels:

    • Don’t Overpack Your Day: When I travel, I prefer to keep my schedule light. Doing less is often more enjoyable. Don’t stress if you have to skip an activity or two. Trust me, your future self will thank you!
    • Remember to Relax: Every trip should have an element of downtime. You don’t want to come back from your vacation feeling like you need another one. Schedule some time to simply chill.
    • Pack Wisely: I used to be the queen of overpacking—and let me tell you, it did NOT serve me well! There are stores where you’re going, so you don’t need to bring everything. Plus, it frees up space for souvenirs. Keep a little extra budget for emergency purchases!

    The Final thoughts…

Planning the perfect trip takes a little research and thought, but once you narrow down your options, the rest is easy. Set your intentions, consider your budget and timing, and do a deep dive into your chosen destinations. The more informed you are, the more fun your trip will be. Happy travels—and remember, the journey starts long before you board the plane!

With the world changing so fast, now’s the time to get your boots on and explore! 🌍✨ Don’t wait for the “perfect moment” – the world is out there, and it’s waiting for you to experience it! Take that step, embrace the adventure, and make the most of every opportunity.

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m thrilled to introduce you to The Trailblazing Vagabond. This blog is dedicated to my passion for travel and food, with a focus on history, culture, and adventure. Through this platform, I’ll share personal experiences—the easy, the hard, and everything in between.

For years, I dreamed of creating a travel blog. I even started with a separate Instagram account a while back, and now, I’m transforming that idea into something much bigger—a social media platform and website with plans for future expansion. My goal is to build a welcoming community for solo travellers, whether you’re new to the experience, seasoned in your adventures, or simply seeking advice.

In my lifetime, I’ve travelled to more than 17 countries, with over 12 of those journeys happening in my adult years. I’m an avid solo traveller who thrives on pushing boundaries, embracing new experiences, and immersing myself in adventure, culture, and history. Travel has allowed me to capture priceless memories, create lifelong stories, forge connections across borders, and learn lessons that only exploration can teach.

One of my favourite quotes encapsulates my philosophy:

Travelling is an education which cannot be found in classrooms or at the workplace. It’s taking that first step—booking the trip you’ve always wanted. The moment you take action, you’ll find yourself changed forever. You won’t come back the same” – Sarah

This belief fuels my passion. I truly believe that travel provides a kind of education unmatched by traditional spaces. It’s a gift that teaches us about the world and ourselves.

What to Expect on The Trailblazing Vagabond:

    • Practical Tips: From booking, packing, and planning activities to navigating cultural nuances and avoiding faux pas.
    • Personal Stories: Honest accounts of my travels, from the most picturesque destinations to off-the-beaten-path adventures.
    • Inspiration & Insights: Reflections on how travel can transform your perspective, create lifelong memories, and build friendships across borders.
