Deciding where to travel next can be one of the most exciting yet challenging aspects of planning a trip. Over the years, I’ve used Instagram polls, considered life events, and even ticked off countries from my bucket list. But there’s more to it than just picking a place. It’s about timing, intention, and making sure the experience matches what you’re looking for. Let me walk you through how I research and narrow down my next travel destination.
The 7 wonder of how I learnt to research!
There are 7 points I go by; these main points have helped shape how I research and travel. In essence it’s the beginning of the trip before you know it. There are tips and tricks for booking trips; but the essence of every trip starts here. These Tips and Tricks will be mentioned in various blogs, because there is so much I can mention and the blog will be to long.

The wonderous 3 recommendations!
On a final note; there are 3 lessons from my own travels have extremely benefitted me and even saved me money. To some people they may seem trivial, but nonetheless are powerful in themselves!
Advice & Tips from My Travels:
- Don’t Overpack Your Day: When I travel, I prefer to keep my schedule light. Doing less is often more enjoyable. Don’t stress if you have to skip an activity or two. Trust me, your future self will thank you!
- Remember to Relax: Every trip should have an element of downtime. You don’t want to come back from your vacation feeling like you need another one. Schedule some time to simply chill.
- Pack Wisely: I used to be the queen of overpacking—and let me tell you, it did NOT serve me well! There are stores where you’re going, so you don’t need to bring everything. Plus, it frees up space for souvenirs. Keep a little extra budget for emergency purchases!
The Final thoughts…
Planning the perfect trip takes a little research and thought, but once you narrow down your options, the rest is easy. Set your intentions, consider your budget and timing, and do a deep dive into your chosen destinations. The more informed you are, the more fun your trip will be. Happy travels—and remember, the journey starts long before you board the plane!
